I don’t like spreadsheets, and thus I don’t like Clay

Hi all. Christophe here. I’m the one currently building LinkedDepot.

It was in December of 2022 that I first found out about Clay. Back then I bookmarked it, but it didn’t really catch my interest. Fast-forward to the start of this year, Clay has exploded and everyone is now talking about it or rushing to implement using it with their sales team. Clay has become an incredibly powerful tool – it can now streamline workflows with probably about 100 different integrations to 3rd-party platforms. As far as I know they they were the first to market in terms of being a Zapier/Make for the sales world. What they’ve built is very smart and fills a voided that was present in terms of the lack of automation in the sales world.

Once I saw that Clay had progressed a ton since where it was in 2022, and with more raving about it, I decided to learn how to use it and tried some of what it offers. It is robust and powerful. Buuuut, there are 2 things I don’t like about it: you are basically dealing with spreadsheets in Clay & the pricing model.
